Whenever you want to save the changes in an open document, choose this menu item. If you have created a new document, you will be asked for a meaningful file name first.
Autosaveoption has been removed from the General Preferences. iCalamus now supports the new Autosave and Versioning methods by OS X. Even new documents which haven't been saved with a user-defined document name, are now automatically saved.
Autosavemethod from OS X doesn't work on some removable storage devices like USB memory sticks.
