Insert Quotation Marks

Speech in texts is enclosed by quotation marks in almost all languages so that you will recognize immediately that the enclosed text is spoken or thought by someone.

Most languages use primary and secondary quotation marks. The difference is simple:
Normal speech in text will be enclosed in primary marks, citations in speech are enclosed in secondary marks.

Furthermore, most languages not only support one group of primary and secondary quotation marks, but two of them. The alternative quotation marks are often used to indicate speech in foreign languages.

iCalamus inserts the offered quotation marks depending on the language which you have defined for the current position in a text frame.
