You can place many file formats directly in documents. Use this menu item and choose the desired file in the file selector. iCalamus will gray out the names of the files which cannot be placed.

After you have selected a file, it will be pasted into the selected frame automatically (and overwrites already existing content of this frame). If more than one frame is selected, the first found frame will be used, which means the frame with the backmost position in the hierarchy.

If no frame is selected or no frame exists, you can simply create a new frame with the mouse. The data will then be pasted into this new frame automatically.

Wskazówka: You can easily import multiple images at once:

Do not select any frame, then use the Place menu item and select multiple image files.
After you have closed the file picker, create a first frame on any document page.
The firstly selected image will be imported into that frame.
Continue by creating more frames.
The other selected images will be imported into the relevant frames automatically.
